For Stewards (Pilot Program)
Certify Your Backyard
Enroll to receive a personalized, science-based evaluation and a clear, supportive path for transforming your yard into a native, wildlife-friendly, and fire-resilient habitat. After you sign up, you’ll be guided through onboarding, connected with an MBH mentor, and begin a customized assessment that leads to a stewardship plan and certification as part of a growing community caring for place together.
For Organizations
Become A Partner
Partnership with Marin Backyard Habitats means collaborating to bring science-based habitat restoration, community education, and stewardship training into neighborhoods through shared programs, site certifications, and co-hosted events. Partner organizations gain expanded impact, increased visibility, and a trusted pathway to engage their members in hands-on biodiversity, climate resilience, and equity-focused action.
For Donors
Support Our Mission
Donor support makes it possible to expand access to native habitat restoration, stewardship training, and community science across Marin—especially in lower-income and historically underserved neighborhoods—helping to restore biodiversity, reduce wildfire risk, and build a culture of care for the land.
